UK - Liverpool - FabulaTech today launched COM Seaport Redirector update description 1.7.1 With minor creepy-crawly fix, the enhanced description has been successfully tested and is ready for download. The new description represents the most complete and reliable serial to ethernet conversion.
COM Seaport Redirector creates virtual serial ports and redirects all serial information to specified TCP-port of remote IP-address. Any serial roads software can use these virtual COM ports, like typical hardware COM ports to send and receive serial information over a local net or the Internet. COM Seaport Redirector can be used to pass serial information across a local net or over the Internet using the Telnet procedure with the COM Seaport Control procedure specified by RFC 2217 and the raw TCP correlation procedure as well. The COM Seaport Control procedure RFC 2217 is used also for accessing any serial tool attached to a serial tool server.
COM Seaport Redirector can also be used to right to use remote serial policy connected to serial tool servers. COM Seaport Redirector creates virtual serial haven COM3 configured to use IP address of the serial tool attendant and TCP-port corresponding to the specified serial device. When the serial roads request opens COM3, Serial Seaport Redirector initiates correlation to the serial tool server.Serial tool attendant accepts the incoming correlation and forwards the information tributary to the serial tool corresponding to the TCP-port of the incoming connection. So, serial roads request accesses
the remote serial tool via virtual serial haven over a local net or the Internet , says Alan Rurke, one of the software developers. Greg Gordon, FabulaTech senior software developer adds: COM Seaport Redirector can be used to connect usual serial roads software with TCP IP software. TCP IP request is installed on the remote PC and listens on the specified TCP-port. The serial roads request is installed on the local PC and uses virtual serial haven COM3 created by Serial Seaport Redirector. This virtual serial haven is configured to use the remote IP address and TCP-port which the TCP IP request listens on. When the serial roads request opens COM3, Serial Seaport Redirector initiates correlation to specified TCP-port of the remote computer. Remote TCP IP request accespts incoming correlation and now serial roads request connections information with the TCP IP request over a local net or the Internet .
The OEM License profit allows that COM Seaport Redirector functionality can be easily integrated into any application. So one can create and configure virtual COM ports from one s own request directly. General plan s skin texture are: unlimited figure of virtual serial ports can be created simultaneously on a single computer, Telnet procedure RFC-2217 support, raw information show support, preset serial haven control signals for raw information protocol, fixed COM haven settings for virtual COM port, overlapped virtual COM ports support virtual serial ports can have the same names as existing physical COM ports , broken net correlation mending auto-reconnect and many more. COM Seaport Redirector is developed for WinNT 4.x,WinXP,Windows2000,Windows2003,Windows Outlook Starter,Windows Outlook Quarters Basic,Windows Outlook Quarters Premium,Windows Outlook Business,Windows Outlook Enterprise,Windows Outlook Ultimate,Windows Outlook Quarters Basic x64,Windows Outlook Quarters Premium x64,Windows Outlook Dealing x64,Windows Outlook Enterprise
x64,Windows Outlook Ultimate x64 compatible with PnP and WMI technologies, Hyper-Threading technology, VMware and wide diversity of TCP IP-based serial tool servers.
